What It Is

Many people have problems with benign vascular lesions. Unsightly veins ranging from telangiectasia to spider veins to deeper vascular lesions can now be treated effectively with laser therapy. Using an infrared light source or Broadband Light (Intense Pulsed Light) and a variety of filters we treat tiny, visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and discoloration of the skin.

A Look at the Results

This treatment specifically targets the thousands of tiny veins and blemishes that create a florid and uneven complexion.  You will see an amazing reduction in this condition over the course of your treatment.   An even and clear complexion will emerge and with it a fresher and more youthful appearance.

What to Expect

Before – One of our specialist consultants will meet with you to determine if you are a good candidate for Laser Spider Vein Treatment. Unfortunately, laser therapy is not effective for larger spider vein removal. If you have a combination of large and small spider veins, you should consider sclerotherapy for the larger ones first, followed later by laser treatment for the smaller ones.

During - The laser is applied to the skin over your spider veins. Laser energy causes your spider veins to coagulate and shrink. Usually there is no need for anesthesia; you will experience a feeling similar to a small rubber band snapping against your skin.

After – Over 2–6 weeks, your spider veins usually fade. After each treatment, you will see a 70–80% improvement in the appearance of face spider veins and 30–40% improvement in leg spider veins. An average of three treatments will be required at three-month intervals.  The treatment may cause minor bruising which usually improves within a week, but often, recovery is immediate. You may apply make-up immediately after the treatment.
